Pre-Professional Teaching Assistant Certificate Experience Requirements
Individuals must have one year of full-time experience in a °µÍøTV public or private school as a teaching assistant while holding a valid °µÍøTV Teaching Assistant Level I, Level II, Level III, or Initial Teaching Assistant certificate.
Professional Teaching Assistant Certificate Experience Requirements
- Individuals must have three years of full-time experience in a °µÍøTV public or private school as a teaching assistant while holding a valid °µÍøTV Teaching Assistant Level I, Level II, Level III, Initial Teaching Assistant, or Pre-Professional certificate
OR
- One year of full-time experience as a classroom teacher in a °µÍøTV public or private school while holding and working under a valid °µÍøTV classroom teaching certificate
Examples of Unacceptable Experiences
- Classroom teacher without a valid °µÍøTV classroom teaching certificate
- Teacher aide
- Teaching assistant experience outside °µÍøTV
- Teaching assistant experience without a valid °µÍøTV teaching assistant certificate
- Teaching assistant experience with °µÍøTV classroom teaching certificate
